Dear employers,

let me introduce our company Medison s.r.o., whose principal activity is the performance of Occupational Health Services for contracting clients - employers.

The history of our company and the idea for its creation has gradually been coming into existence together with my professional experience in the field of preventive occupational medicine since 1993. Remember the moments when many of you, when dealing with satisfactory working environment, have experienced inadequate, or more precisely, lacking professional medical advisory services. Assessment, evaluation, analysis of health risks, their management, simultaneously the monitoring of frequent changes in legislation in the field of hygiene, as well as assessing the medical eligibility were making troubles to employers. All these circumstances led me to search for opportunities of expertise in the specialised field of preventive occupational medicine, which would effectively assist employers in dealing with particular steps to protect the employees’ health. This possibility has been brought by the legislation whose adoption led to the accession of one of the requirements set by the European Union for the Slovak Republic. Occupational Health Service was established by the Health and Safety at Work Act of National Council of Slovak Republic no. 124/2006 of Legal Code. Its addition completed the missing professional part of the field of health protection. Full of enthusiasm, I welcomed the fact, although the reactions to the emergence of the new legislation were not always positive. However, as it was showed in the course of cooperation with our clients, this standoffishness was only temporary.

Today, after several years of operation of Occupational Health Service MEDISON s.r.o., I know that we have managed to create a company, which in professional level provides professional services in the field of health protection at work for employers in the whole country.
